Today we all hiked Mauna Ulu. Since just Mike and Jr went to Ulu last time, we decided to all hike there since the weather was so nice. The hike was great and we got some wonderful pictures. We also saw a bunch of steam rising not very far from where we were that hadn't been there days before. Very cool! Michael Jr also found some really unique lava rock that was so airy it just crumbled into dust. The ranger told us it was titanium. Very, very, neat. Michael also became a Junior Ranger for HVNP! He was happy! :)
That night we ate at the Volcano House. Terrible service, even though they weren't busy. Very disappointing!
